A warm, young, female therapist in her late 20's.

Welcome.

My name is Emily Voignier. I’m a psychology nerd, coffee lover, and inspired therapist. I provide virtual mental health services to the state of North Carolina! My hope is that you feel welcome here and are able to peruse my site with a sense of peace and belonging. I hope to have the privilege of speaking with you soon.

Healing Through

Clarity, Curiosity, and Compassion

Welcome to my virtual, private practice where I specialize in working with those who seek clarity and peace in their life. Have you ever felt paralyzed by the big decisions that life ultimately throws your way? Do you ever feel as though you’re not cut out for adulthood? Do you ever wish you could feel confident in your own skin?

I work with those who feel uncertain, overwhelmed, and simply exhausted. Struggling to decide if it’s time to look for a new job? On the fence about having children? Maybe it’s not a decision you face but rather a new life transition whether that’s an upcoming graduation, a big move on the horizon, or facing retirement. It all comes with a big bundle of nerves, a mind that won’t rest, and fears of the “what if’s.” My goal is to help you shed light on the questions that keep you up at night. I’m here to give you the space you need to get reacquainted with yourself. It is safe here to explore, to feel, and to question. You will never hear me say that you are overthinking, overreacting, or being too sensitive. Your life, your energy, and your experience are sacred and deserve to be respected.

  • You deserve to feel. You deserve to heal. You deserve to be.

My Qualifications

I got my Masters degree and Education Specialist degree in marriage and family therapy from the University of Florida. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) in the state of North Carolina. I have nearly 5 years of experience in the mental health field, and I’ve seen a lot of clients since my first internship experience. This doesn’t even account for all those psychology classes I took when I was just an aspiring psychology nerd back in the day!

Now - let’s get to the heart of why you’re really here. Therapy is such a vulnerable experience, and that comes with a lot of nerves, butterflies, and uncertainty. That being said, it is my job to earn your trust. It is not something I am owed just because I have a degree or because I have years of experience in my field. It is not my inherent right to hear your life story, but I do think your story deserves to be heard. It is not my job to judge or criticize. My job is to see, hear, accept, and encourage you. I am here to see you for who you are and gain your trust one hour at a time.
